What coud be better than...

... a Friday night at the Keswick?   And is there anyone we'd enjoy seeing more than Mary Chapin Carpenter and Shawn Colvin?

Photo of: Shawn Colvin and Mary Chapin Carpenter

The talked a little... played a little... and made us feel as though we were just hanging out with a couple of friends.

They told us that they had known each other nearly 30 years - good friends who love to spend time in each others living rooms singing and playing guitars.

Mary said that if we were in HER living room, we'd all be wearing pajamas - by 4:00 at the latest!  Shawn said that if we were in HER living room, there would definitely be popcorn and chocolate.  Now that's my kind of living room.

I would love to be just sit in the corner in either living room - or the front porch - and listen.

My iPod needs to sync...

... with ME!

Today my iPod is crazy about Nellie McKay!  Unfortunately, I am NOT crazy about Nellie McKay today.  "Why do I have her in there"  you ask?  Good question.  I think at one point I WAS crazy about Nellie McKay, but it must have been in another life.

ANYWAY... I just thought you should know that.  If you were going to send music to me today, you can skip Nellie McKay.  I have plenty!

Lyle Lovett is...

... a soulful guy.

I'm not sure why I'm writing this.  I was listening to Pandora (you know about Pandora, right?) and this song came on by Lyle Lovett - "Nobody Knows Me Like My Baby"... and I thought... "Hmmmm  Nice song.  I think Lyle Lovett is a very soulful guy."

So I was talking to Michael and told him about this song by Lyle Lovett and Michael said... "Lyle Lovett is a soulful guy."

So I went to work and told someone else about this song (among others) and that I thought Lyle Lovett was a soulful guy and they laughed and said... "You're kidding, right?"

*sigh*

There is just no accounting for some people's taste - or lack thereof. Not that people who disagree with me are necessarily wrong.  Or maybe...

...whatever

In case you were wondering, Lyle Lovett is a soulful guy.  Trust me on this one.
